the story of Jaquar Group

When the Late NL Mehra started his bathroom fittings business in Delhi in 1960, he knew it would be an uphill task. At that time, faucets, taps, and valves were a new industry and were sold as commodities. Nobody saw the value of branded bathroom fittings.

NL Mehra launched a brand named Essco and began building a value-for-money range in the highly unorganised market for bathroom fittings.

He would manufacture the Essco products at a unit in Haryana and sell them with a ten-year warranty. It was a scheme practically unheard of during those times as traders weren’t held accountable for servicing unbranded bath fittings.

Following this customer-centric approach and relying on the founder’s hard work and determination to grow, Essco became reasonably well-known in the market. It reached Rs 30 lakh annual turnover by 1985.

But that was just the beginning of the story for the small bath

Small business COVID-19 incentive program facilitates inn transactions

A U.S. Small Business Administration business purchase incentive program made it possible for the separate buyers of two Maine inns to close on the transactions.

Jacqueline Pierce bought the Inn at Bath, at 969 Washington St., Bath, from Elizabeth Knowlton for an undisclosed price in a deal that closed Sept. 23. The list price was $725,000.

Nicole and Matt Irwin bought Acadia Bay Inn, at 12 Miramar Ave. in Sullivan, from Todd and Angela Vafiades for an undisclosed price in a deal that closed Sept. 25. The list price was $1.375 million.

Dana Moos of Swan Agency Sotheby’s International Realty brokered both transactions.

The transactions were initially stymied by the challenge of finding a bank willing to lend during the pandemic, Moos said.

Of her usual list of a half-dozen or so hospitality lenders, “Machias Savings Bank was the only one at the time who wanted to make

Judge sentences Trenton man to 15 years for trying to touch child in Walmart bathroom | Crime

A man was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty Monday to a charge related to his attempt to abduct and assault a young boy in a local Walmart restroom.

Donald Allen Morrison, 52, of Trenton, pleaded guilty to third-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct with a minor. Circuit Judge Donald Hocker sentenced him to the maximum sentence for the offense. Morrison was already on the sex offender registry for a conviction in 1992 and he will be eligible for indefinite civil commitment under state law upon completion of his sentence.

In June 2019, Greenwood police went to the Walmart at 300 Bypass 25 NE, where an 8-year-old boy said a man offered him $5 to touch him inappropriately in the bathroom. The boy said no, and as he was washing his hands the man came from behind and grabbed him, a report said, holding the boy in place.

Small business grows from hobby shared by mother and daughter | Business

Peter Pan and the Lost Boys were never fans of washing up but the J.M. Barrie characters home of NeverNeverLand inspired the name for a homemade bath products business.

Kim Dahlke of Waterloo said her daughter, Ashley Rife, was a huge “Peter Pan” fan prompting the pair to name their small business Second Star Bath and Beauty.

During the months of March and April, at the start of Wisconsin’s initial shut-down due to the pandemic, Rife was looking for a new project to take on.

“We like to try different crafty things,” said 48-year-old Dahlke.

Rife began looking at recipes for making soap, bath salts and lotions.

“Ashley really did all the legwork,” Dahlke said.

The pair started making glycerin soap, which Dahlke said is fairly easy to create. She said people can purchase a glycerin block, which contains all of the basic elements needed to create soap. After the

How small retailers are doing Amazon Prime Day amid Covid-19 pandemic

Amazon’s annual two-day Prime Day sales event kicks off on Tuesday, Oct. 13 after the coronavirus pandemic delayed the event for months.

Amazon doesn’t release specific revenue numbers around its Prime Day events, but the company said it sold more than 175 million items during last year’s Prime Day.
