Battle Creek’s Bed Bath & Beyond is closing its doors for good.

In July, Bed Bath & Beyond announced it was shuttering at least 200 stores over the next two years. After surviving the initial rounds of cuts, the location at 12765 Harper Village Drive has learned it will soon meet its end.

“We were not (prepared) because originally we were not on that first list so we were all very surprised,” said Battle Creek store manager Sarah Staib. “We thought we were OK.”

As of May 30, the company had 1,478 stores, including 955 Bed Bath & Beyond stores nationwide and in Canada. The Bed Bath & Beyond store in Allen Park at 3180 Fairlane Drive was the only Michigan property the company announced it was closing back in September.
