Architect turns an auto-rickshaw into portable home with bedroom, bathroom & kitchen

Netizens are gushing over a tiny auto-rickshaw house that has gone viral on various social media platforms. An auto-rickshaw has been modified by an architect to fit a bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen in a tiny little space of just 36 square feet, which is now winning the internet’s praise. The three-wheeler structure named Solo 01 is designed by Arun Prabhu N G, founder, and architect of the Billboards Collective, and it comes with a portable/detachable housing unit that can accommodate a single individual.

Thanks to social media, you may have seen several pictures or videos of auto rickshaws with various modifications. However, this one takes customisation to a whole new level. An architect has impressed netizens by creating a tiny home on top of an auto rickshaw. The special vehicle has a bed, kitchen and bathroom along with other amenities. Pictures of the creation have gone viral.

The custom vehicle has been designed by architect Arun Prabhu NG. He shared pictures of the portable auto rickshaw back in December 2019.

Dubai: A young Saudi architect has designed a building that takes the shape of the traditional Saudi men’s headdress (ghutra), local media reported today.

In an interview with Al Ekhbariya state television, the fresh graduate, Hossam Mahjoub, said that he has been dreaming of introducing changes in the Saudi architecture that reflect the kingdom’s authentic culture in buildings.

The traditional Saudi men’s red and white-checkered headdress is popularly known as ghutra.

“I embarked on this project immediately after I finished my study abroad and returned to the kingdom. I am passionate about having our traditional culture and rich heritage be reflected in our architectural buildings,” Mahjoub said.
