Former Pizza Company Employee Accused of Putting Razor Blades in Dough Sold at Grocery Store

On Sunday evening 38-year-old Nicholas Mitchell was taken into police custody after he allegedly put razor blades into pizza dough that was sold at a grocery store.

While Mitchell’s arrest occurred in New Hampshire, the store at which the dough was sold is in Maine.

Surveillance footage taken from the Hannaford Supermarket in Saco, Maine is said to have shown Mitchell committing the crime. The store contacted local authorities on Tuesday, October 6, after a customer reported finding multiple razor blades in dough purchased at the store.

Mitchell was taken into custody in Dover, New Hampshire, which is about 45 minutes southwest of Saco. His arrest came shortly after police shared a photo of his vehicle, along with a description of him, on Facebook.

Man caught stuffing razor blades into pizza dough at Maine grocery store: cops

Police in southwest Maine arrested a man who is accused of stuffing razor blades into packages of pizza dough that were sold to customers last week.

The disturbing incident happened at the Saco Hannaford Supermarket and came to light after a customer reported finding multiple blades inside the product on Oct. 6, authorities said.

The grocery store, located in the city of Saco, reviewed surveillance footage and learned a man had tampered with several packages of Portland Pie pizza dough, according to police. The videos helped investigators identify the suspect as 38-year-old Nicholas Mitchell, a former associate of “It’ll Be Pizza,” which supplies products for Portland Pie, the Soca Police Department said in a news release.

The man’s motive remains under investigation.

Mitchell was taken into custody Sunday evening on a charge of being a fugitive from justice. He was arrested shortly after police shared his description and a photo

Pennsylvania’s second lady, Gisele Barreto Fetterman, on Sunday tweeted that she had been the victim of a racist attack while shopping at her local grocery store and shared a video of a woman calling her a racial slur through the window of her car.

In an interview with The Washington Post, Fetterman, 38, said that she was normally accompanied by state troopers whenever she leaves her home, but she decided to go out on her own when she realized that a sale on golden kiwis would be ending soon at her neighborhood Aldi.

She says that the woman who accosted her recognized her as the wife of Pennsylvania’s Lt. Gov. John Fetterman (D) which is what apparently led to the racist incident.

“*TRIGGER WARNING* I love love love this country but we are so deeply divided,” Gisele Fetterman tweeted Sunday. “I ran to the local grocery store and was met

Wife of Pennsylvania’s Lt. Governor called racist slur at grocery store

The wife of Pennsylvania’s lieutenant governor said she was subject to a racist verbal attack at a grocery store on Sunday.

Gisele Barreto Fetterman verbally assaulted by woman in grocery store yelling racist remarks

“She said, ‘There’s that n-word that Fetterman married. You don’t belong here. No one wants you here. You don’t belong here,’” Fetterman, who was born in Brazil, said in an interview with The Washington Post.

Upset and shaken, Fetterman managed to film the woman accosting her again outside her car. She posted a video of the abuse to Twitter Sunday night, along with a description of what happened.

Fetterman, 38, said she has been threatened and insulted before, but never in person. “The fact that she was so comfortable and bold to just do it to my face with an audience … that was really scary,” Fetterman said.

The attack on Fetterman comes as political tensions have reached a boiling point in Pennsylvania, with both President Trump and his Democratic opponent, former vice president Joe Biden, targeting the state as the single most important battleground in next month’s elections.

Driver killed after crashing into Swanville grocery store and setting it on fire

SWANVILLE, Maine — A man died late Tuesday night when he went out of control on Swan Lake Avenue and slammed into the side of Swan Lake Grocery Store, which then caught fire.

Andrew McHugh, 23, of South Bethlehem, New York, was driving north about 11:50 p.m. when his truck veered off the road and hit the store.

He died at the scene, according to emergency crews. The person who called to report the crash told 911 operators that the truck was on fire and that they could not remove the driver from it.

Speed was a primary factor in the crash, according to Jason Trundy of the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office.

When McHugh’s truck hit the building, it caught fire, too. Swan Lake Grocery Store co-owner Deb Newcomb said that the six tenants who live in apartments above the store were all able to get out OK, but the
